Personal Interest Projects!

Curiosity rules in Ms. McMorris and Mrs. Bellavance's second grade classrooms where experts in training have been working on P.I.P.'s (Personal Interest Projects).

Students had the opportunity to choose a question they were interested in and research to answer it.

They took notes and presented their new learning to their classmates.

Children shared their knowledge through eBooks, quizzes, posters, demonstrations and models, and puppet shows.

Here are some of the questions we learned the answers to:
What are some legends about unicorns?
What is the ocean food chain and what effects it?
What was life like in ancient Egypt?
How are crystals formed?
Who are the best basketball players and why?
What are some traditions in Sweden?
How do jellyfish survive?
