Students in Mrs. Weidman's and Ms. McMorris' classes were
treated to a Kamishibai Theater presentation at the middle school during their
community service day recently. Kamishibai Theater is a type of Japanese
storytelling that was popular in the early 1900's.
Cards with
the story script on the back and illustrations on the front are slipped from
the wooden theater as the story is told.
Everyone
had a wonderful time listening to the Japanese folklore stories. After the
presentation, our students were gifted with treat bags prepared by the EMS students.
