Poetry Slam!

Second graders participated in the 14th annual POETRY SLAM held at Champlain College.

 Students each chose a poem, memorized it, and  then practiced  and using their voice and gestures to perform it.

 Many students Slammed original works.  Edmunds families and friends came to hear their poems.

 Ted Scheu, a local poet, who had worked with both classes, attended the Slam.

 in addition, we welcomed back former slammers as announcers and judges for the slam.  It was a lively and fun event.
