Project Ignite Award Recipients 2017
Each year, Vita-Learn and Vermont Ascd recognize a new cadre of Vermont educators who exemplify innovative and transformative instructional practices. On March 30th, two Burlington School District teachers were inducted into the new cadre at the Vita-Learn Project IGNITE ceremony at the Capitol Plaza in Montpelier. Heather McMorris, a second grade teacher at Edmunds Elementary School, was recognized for using digital tools to transform her students’ learning environments.  Award recipients participated in a day long event where educators, administrators and technology integrators worked together to identify and promote transformative and innovative practices in our schools.  Project IGNITE teams participated in powerful conversations around transforming digital age practices in teaching and learning through the growth of interconnected personal learning networks.
