The students in Ms. Bonanni and Mr. Gillard’s classes are working with the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center to learn more out about the health of our lake. This week the students learned about pH, salinity, phosphorus, and dissolved oxygen.
They learned how to test for these in a variety of mystery substances.
When classes return to the Sailing Center for their spring visit, they will test the lake water and interpret results noting any patterns and possible errors. They will then discuss more about factors that contribute to the health of the lake.
