First Grade Visits the Fletcher Free Library

This morning is rainy, but our intrepid first graders braved the chill and wet to walk to the Fletcher Free Library.

A fabulous positive feature of being the downtown Burlington school is that our students can frequently do walking fieldtrips, like second grade's trip to the UVM Dairy Barn. The first grade not only spends the year exploring the community, going on a walking field trip every month, but also hosts a monthly visit here at EES from a visiting community member. Next month, students will meet a Tae Kwon Do instructor who will come here to EES to teach a lesson!
