Teacher Interns practicing their craft at EES

Congratulations to our Teacher Interns 

UVM Seniors and Education Majors are finishing up their Internships at EES next week. The classroom teachers act as the mentors to the interns, giving guidance and modeling effective practices.  EES has a long tradition of mentoring teachers over the years.  The pictures below were taking during the Intern's Solo weeks, the time when they are expected to take on complete responsibility for the planning, teaching and classroom management.

Olivia Stranberg from Weston, MA interned in Paul Houchen's 4th Grade Classroom.  

Sarah Ricard is from Milton, VT and interned in Danielle Weidman's Kindergarten classroom.

Alicia Danyew, from Middlesex, Vermont, interned with Janet Bellavance in 2nd grade.
