Sound Communication Systems in Grade 1

First graders are working in partnerships to design sound communication systems.

 They are choosing which type of cups (styrafoam or plastic) would be the most effective in focusing sound waves as well as determining which type of string (twine, yarn or fishing wire) to carry the sound from one cup to another.

 Later in the week, first graders will be able to build and experiment with their designs.
